At
the beginning of 95, 1
Ka was
created, and domiciled with the old Prefecture in
Toulouse. The initial step is a composite of sound
Ready Made and electro psychedelism (industrial music,
bruitist, ambient, trance electronic, acoustic modified).
The axis of listening constitutes the instrument and
is based on supports and diversified plastic practices
- photography, slide show, painting, installations
musical and visual, super 8, loops of images, vidéos
experimental, poetries and texts shifted, new musics,
magnetic tapes, sound samples, devices, électronifiée
acoustics, adulterated instruments.
It is around these concepts that people gathered in
the laboratory for the creation and the realization
of performances. All the actors of this project agree
to strictly focus their action on the music and the
experimental image.
Little
by little, the laboratory was equipped out of various
materials of creations: projectors slides and super
8, old adulterated radios, systems of mixings and
sound amplifications, tape recorders worn metal
parts of various sizes, tubes, traps with sounds,
percussions in all kinds, apron of piano broken
and réamplifié exotic and acoustic
instruments, toys, synthetizers black lights, balls
multifacettes, mirrors, sculptures sound drink some,
masks, skeletons and craniums of animals.
Since
September 1996, 1 Ka carried out many concerts in
Toulouse, Rodez, Clermont Ferrand, in Gers (Auch),
in the Pyrenees, in Marseilles, Arles, Ariège,
like in Weimar and Berlin. The concerts are single
according to the place and of the speakers. The
duration of the performances, installations and
concerts lies between fifteen hour and fifteen minutes.
The number of members of the collective is variable;
it includes/understands in particular Kolett, Marco,
X-ray, Bambi, Loren, Edwood, Olivier, Yorga and
of the speakers.

We
use a general public material and simple techniques
"turn-assembled". The video image is treated
musicalement (sequences, loops, cut, recalls), the
sound is that of the catch of sight. The readable
sequence shots, the scenario-account are evacuated
with the profit of a high-speed assembly, a sound
is systematically a asocier with an image, to prevent
an emotional reading of film and to highlight the
subliminal place space time.
We experienced a intercept functioning like joining,
disruption, generator of ideas; the synchronous
character of the image and the sound at high speed
is essential with the osmosis of hearing and the
vision, with the bringing together of time and space.
In the continuity of the experiments of spatialization
of time carried out since 1995 at Laboratory 1KA,
the video-music tries to approach the moment, the
moment when we live space and time, the eye, with
the limit of retinal perception.

Ramon practises
counted them and applies this technique to the Battery.
Old beater of the National Orchestra of Jazz, it
is opened with multiple experiments and we created
an action for a beater and a performor with the
festival "Full with jazz and musics besides"
close to Orleans. Creation of membranes filtering
the raw light directed on the witnesses and crossing
of slit until the bottom of the room, totems out
of mirror and sound amplification of the Scotch
tape rollers. Rhythmic impulses and plastic settings
concerned for a concert also to be seen.

Creation for a strange duet, performor (Yorga) and
percussionnist (Ramon Lopez)
One attends a creation on the heap and strong strange
between Yorga, odd specimen made main of the adhesive
plastic and an accompaniment with the battery and
the percussions sometimes made remote then sharpened
thereafter at the rate/rhythm of the weaving of
an abstract fabric which with the wire of the rollers
of adhesives deployed with widened gestures, never
adopts several forms entiérement definite

This duet invites us to a performance somewhat absurd

Wolfram improvises
on Chopin, Bach and Gershwin with the same rage
inside, ready with all the joys of the invention.
We already made several actions together, in Berlin,
Leipzig and Weimar. Actions " Autopsy and donation
of organs " where it played in a cinema with
alive spiders walking on its back, "Alice and
mad daddy in Plastikland" where its Yamaha
mixed lyric station-wagon-beat and flights, and
"three girls of minotaure" with a tuba
of diving in the mouth (plastic songs in apnea).

3 acts: projections,
concert, performance. This cabaret was designed
and carried out in 2001 in troglodytes (space of
contemporary art "the terrestrial propeller")
and in a theatre of the Maine-and-Loire (Pouancé).
Martin Lersch
plays of the brush, the sax, the clarinet and the
electric guitar like various Visio-sound toys. He
passes his instruments and the history of art in
pedals of effects, mixes the whole with humour and
poetry. Topic: "the navel in the history of
art, classicisme and depth".
